VR Training
I am currently looking into VR as a form of Safety training. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I've did a demo with Hard Hat VR when they were in their design phase a few years ago and was pleased with the results and types of scenarios it used. I haven't used any other brands, as Hard Hat VR was only used at their request to provide them with feedback, but it seemed to work well. They had everything from CPR scenarios, fire extinguishers, fall protection, electrical, and a ton more.

I'm interested in the responses!

There seems to be a growing desire by the professionals, but not sure on the buy in from the workers. I would like to hear and see more options that are out there. Especially with the rate technology is progressing.

Price has been a barrier from one of the companies I tried to assist with this. It's still cheaper in many cases to do the standard training, based on what vendors are charging for VR.

Yes

I took a training course that offered VR for confined spaces training. That's the only application I've seen lately here in Saskatchewan Canada.

"VR"?
For new forklift operators I did see some value, but this was used for those who didn't have experience. And after VR did hands on live.

Hi Mel, I’ve seen VR work best when the scenarios are more high-risk and hands-on. But a few quick q’s to point you to the right options:
• What setting/industry are you in?
• Are you thinking awareness training or task practice like LOTO, confined space, working at height?
• Do you want off the shelf modules or site-specific builds tied to your equipment?
If you share that, I can point you to a short list of vendors and real examples that match. Cheers
