Annual Extinguisher Inspections and Testing
If you got certified through NAFED for portable fire extinguishers would that allow you to conduct annual fire extinguisher tests? We use a 3rd party currently. Just curious what all is required if we wanted to completely do it in house.

Yes, you can do that (and I have done that in the past at previous employers). I actually hold that certification now, which is now through the ICC instead of NAFED. The only thing is you will want to check state-specific requirements. Many states have specific insurance requirements and liability things that have to be met, so may check with the state and/or your legal department on this.

Agree with Drew. Depending on how many extinguishers you have, it can be pretty cost effective to do it in house. It also gives you a little more control over it. Depending on where you are in the country, I've heard some horror stories about fire extinguisher vendors.
