EHS Software
Good morning all, I recently started at a new company that is a lot smaller than my previous company. One of my new projects is to find a good EHS software that can manage incidents, action items, compliance, training and SDS databases. My prior employer had their own software that they used, does anyone have any recommendations?

This happens to be what I do for a living - feel free to message me either here or on LinkedIn

I'd recommend Sospes. They're catered towards smaller companies and can do all of the things you mentioned. If you'd like, I can send an intro email to them and get you a demo.
I think it runs around $25k/year for incident management and reporting system, inspections/audits/forms, and credentials/training records management, all based on ~250 employees

Oh man! Good Luck! Lots and Lots out there!!!! EHS Software Opinions are like so many things, like butt holes, everyone has one! I consult on GLG, and weekly I get get calls on "start-ups" that are trying to enter the EHS software market! Not only are there lots to choose from out there now but lots more coming online! Seems like every Baby Boomer IT guy or gal our there has retired from a corporation or company and thinks the EHS Software business is something they should jump into!
I would give you these tips:
#1 As I said many many choices out there! Like everything else some are good at some things and not so good at others, or, they all have there +s and -s! Now what you want and find the ones that are strong in what you want!
#2 Find a Good IT guy to help you make a choice, one that is impartial!
#3 Know your budget! They may sound cheap at first, next thing you know they want start-up fees and the like! If you are not careful you can get upwards of $15K very quickly! Some of the ones I like have no start up costs and charge $5 per month per "login" (someone that uses the system). If you can keep your "logons" to say 20, your supervisors and managers, you are talking $100 a month which is not bad. Sometimes they will "Low-Ball" you the first year and really zap you the next! So be careful especially on start-up costs and "low-ball' quotes!
In a short couple paragraphs tough question. As to specific companies I like Wombat (brand new), Simple Safety Coach, and Frontline Data Systems. New companies with lots of fresh ideas. Wobmat has used Safety Consultants like me to develop their software. I would also get a quote and demo from the biggest and some feel the best, EHS Veleocity! They are like the "Cadillac" in the business, and probably more expensive, but it is good to see the "Top-of-the-Line" too. One plus of EHS V is you buy modules like MSDSonline and Humantech!
Someone should wrote a book on this one!

I’ve used and really liked EHS Insight, but be forewarned, it takes a tremendous amount of setup, and to get live tech support/consulting cost additional $$
One of the distinct advantages that I liked was the modularity of the system. After paying for the base package, you could pick & choose what other modules you need or want to add.

I'm looking also.
Has anyone used or demo'd Safety 101? (
www.safety101.com
). I'd Like to hear some thoughts before I look more into it.

I have a couple clients who use the PROCORE safety software and its really nice!
