I have have edited my OSHA 300s since the old days. I think I was first responsible for a 300 in 1980. We ALWAYS entered stuff on the "Master Log" in pencil! I was taught you could make small edits with the eraser, but never very much or an entire entry. The old hands at it then taught me if you needed to enter too much on the entry to just "line-it-out!" In the case of major edits to an entry, you should line-out the old entry entirely and re-enter totally! If you got to remove it you just lined it out. WE really had to do that often especially with SDS re-evaluations. We really always took a lot of time with those and pulled out all the "stops"! This was a foundry!
Things got a little simpler when we started using Excel Spreadsheets of the 300 in the early to mid 90s. I then still used the "Strike-Through" function in Office. Things got a lot simpler in the early 2000s when EHS software came out! I was taught to DOCUMENT any changes I made to the 300!!!
My flip remark to this was going to be, "Gee I sure hope so or I could be headed to jail for a very very long time and I am too pretty for that!" :)

Looks like everyone has it covered here! Great discussion!
