Why are all the safety conferences stacked in the fall?
It’s like every week there’s another conference. Does anyone know why that is? I’m wondering if it’s budgetary, I.e. budgets clear up Q1 of the following year so sponsors are trying to set themselves up for sales. Any other thoughts?

The past year has been that way due to COVID if I had to guess. Most of the major ones next year are during the spring or summer. ASSP Safety 2022 is in June. Grainger Show is in March. They all vary from one year to the next, though.
There's two keys to spending a budget. Spend early, first and second quarter, before your corporation decides that another arm of the company needs funds from your budget. Then, be ready in fourth quarter to quickly (and usefully) spend funding that has been released by other parts of the company because their spending plans fell through. To answer your question, the late fall training schedule is a part of "be ready to spend in a useful fashion".
So the Texans can go somewhere else to see real trees with pretty leaves.

I always assumed that because the summer was so slow, it was just making up for lost time! Our BIG Safety Show in Wisconsin is always in late April or early May.
