Actually we had another employee stop a fellow employee from doing something dangerous, which kept the employee safe and lesson learned!

I have a couple funnies:

One time I was talking with some technicians and they were giving each other heck (as they do). I looked at one and went, "do you want me to put together an incident report for that burn?" They were amazed at my safety joke. haha!

Another time I was holding a safety celebration for my workers. Some of them were playing cornhole. I went up to them and asked, "who's winning?" I waited a beat and then said, "the only right answer is safety!"

I love the story about when I had to report an accident that I (the safety coordinator) had. I was carrying a ladder in the back of my work truck. The ladder slid and busted out the back windshield. So being a rules guy I followed our procedures and reported the accident. My boss (The GM) laughed but appreciated that I followed the rules. Now every time I a transport a ladder in my truck I send him a picture and text that reads “living dangerously”.

I was doing some digging on my end, but honestly you should check out our weekly newsletters. Each Monday we send a newsletter with a “fine of the week” - feel free to cherry pick those stories as you see fit. It could be a great learning opportunity for your folks
