Budget Surplus
Do you have any items or tools that you consider “must haves” at work? Do you have any personal development courses you would recommend?
I am trying to find some things that would be useful going forward. I tend to do mostly Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene work.
I am interested in electrical safety PDCs or courses that would help me learn more about electrical energy in general.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Must-have tools: sound level meter, dosimeter, air sampling pumps, hot wire anemometer, pitot tube/manometer, and push/pull meter. You can rack up several thousand there. ;)
Must-have training: professional memberships to AIHA, ASSP, and others. Conferences put on by AIHA and ASSP are always amazing. Both organizations also host a plethora of PDCs. I’m sure there are some good electrical ones through ASSP. NFPA may be of interest to you.

My biggest must-have is investing in a solid EHS Management software

Awesome post!! All the suggestions here have been fantastic. I would go to a 40 hr asbestos supervisor training or a 40 hr HAZWOPER, both great trainings that will give you a great base of knowledge
