Spot the Citation Comic Edition - 7/10/21
Not exactly our traditional “Spot the Citation” post, rather a catalyst for conversation. This comic strip comments on a workplace with a reactionary, safety cop attitude. Has anybody worked in a facility that fostered a “safety cop” view towards health and safety? How did you navigate it?
Bonus discussion: what measures would you take if you worked for a sharps assembly line?

Front left should probably reorganize his box so he doesn't have a scissors pointed directly at him...

I like this comic :)

I’d make sure there was plenty of proper PPE for hand safety. Training on how to maneuver about the facility while handling the sharps…
Yes! My last job had a safety cop (before I transitioned to safety). Everyone hated the guy and our workers were totally unsafe. He was brilliant at keeping things off the books though so corporate loved him
