Working near fiber optic and telephone lines
Hey everyone! I have a branch bidding on a job that involves working near fiber optic and telephone lines. Do these lines have to be wrapped and insulated? I want to say no since they hardly have voltage going through them but I know they are more sensitive that powerlines so they are easier to break. Just wanted to double check with everyone else.

Assuming these lines are overhead and not underground protection is not required. The questions I would ask are how close to the lines will they be and what kind of and how big will the equipment the crew be using? A dedicated spotter should accomplish what is needed. Which can simply be a crew member waiting for their next task while the equipment is moving.
