What’s your ideal amount of work travel?
I know there are some folks out there who love to travel. Those of you who like to travel, this seems like a decent field for it. If not, then it might be better to find a single location site.
Curious though, what’s your ideal percent travel on the job? Personally, I’m good with 0% travel.

I would do limited travel, conference, even some offsite work for a couple days but no more more than 25%. I have spent the last 20 years being away from home for up to a year at a time. It gets old quick and now it's time for me to spend that time with family.

25% - 40% because I love to explore. Even better, sign up for all the travel company programs (hotels, rental car, airline, train) and use the business travel points for personal travel/vacation? Yes, please!

With a 2 year old and a 4 month old, travel is just not in the picture
I travel Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday . Currently home every night. Roughly 12 hour days 4 or so on the road
Need a range. 0 to 5%. I’m not a fan of travel but understand that I can’t live in a silo.

I like intermittent travel (conferences, occasional work trips to other sites). It keeps things fresh and allows me to look forward to a work trip rather than dread it.
