New CDC Guidelines on masks and vaccinations
Hey Everyone!
I'm looking to see how other safety professionals and employers are handling the new guidelines from CDC saying that vaccinated people no longer need masks. My employer has been requiring employees to wear masks whenever they are out of their home process and around someone else (within 6 feet). We are now considering a way to let employees who have chosen to get vaccinated to no longer wear masks and I am wondering if anyone else has any ideas of how best to approach this issue.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be helpful! Don't hold back! :))

It's been an interesting turn of events no doubt. I've heard a lot of different suggestions and ideas.
Wisconsin just lifted their mask mandate and our county is following suit in 2 weeks.
What I've heard that seems like the most logical decision depending on your setup is. This instance the plant is already naturally spaced out, so minimal worries about crowding.
"Masks are no longer mandatory, you may wear them at your own discretion."
"Highly recommend that un-vaccinated individuals continue wear a mask"
That way you are leaving it up to the individual to choose, not making un-vaccinated employees feel alienated, and not becoming "the mask police".

Everything seems to be in flux so I will be interested to see what changes. There was a similar post in the forum yesterday so I recommend checking that out, too.
