Do you have a routine at work?
One thing I'm trying to get better with is getting a little more organization to my workdays. Obviously COVID makes that pretty difficult, but I want to see if anyone has a set routine they try and stick to throughout the day.
My thinking is that if I can partition out blocks of time that are dedicated to specific things I might be more productive. Example - early mornings dedicated to field work, late mornings for meetings, afternoons for clerical. Does anyone have a routine they want to share? How has it worked out for you?

Routine? Yes I start work at 7 AM - after that the routine part ends lol

I am semi-retired! I work when I want and don't when I want. I had routines for 42 years in the Corporate world. For the most part I try to avoid "routines" now! Fitz

I have used a leader standard work sheet based around what my perfect scenario would be for each day/week/month in 0.5-1hr blocks. I rarely have a perfect day but it serves as a roadmap of what I try to accomplish. Also added important inspections to it as well (eyewash, satellite stations, etc.. ) as a double proof those things got accomplished.

I work in consulting so it is hard to have a consistent routine, but I do try to use the last 15 minutes of my day to plan for the next day, set a schedule, to-do list, and list of people I need to meet with/contact. I write it down on paper and physically "cross off" each to-do. This helps me keep on track and gives a small dopamine boost when you finish each task.

I used to have a pretty routine schedule - email catch-up in morning, schedule meetings for morning so paperwork and reports could be done in the afternoon. With the pandemic, I cannot plan ahead on anything. If I do, it is usually derailed lol.
