Engaging employees during virtual trainings
Does anyone here conduct virtual trainings as an alternative to in-person? I've done a few and I've found it difficult to engage at the level I can during in-person trainings.
For those of you who have given a good deal of virtual trainings, any tips on how to better engage your employees?

This is very hard (sometimes its hard enough in person).
One thing you can do is sign up for a live polling program. I use Poll Everywhere. You can do all kinds of things with this program. I am a consultant, so I am training for 3rd parties. I often use it to get anonymous answering to basic questions at the beginning of my program. so that all of the attendees can see how much they know or don't know as a group. My program allows them to answer by text message on their phone or on their PC. As they answer, the graph on my Powerpoint becomes instantly interactive.

Just a note-tried that route and I think it fails, so now I go out in the plant and hold training on the floor 10 feet apart wearing mask but the speaker can remove mask. Nothing beats one on one.
