Safety & Security Tracking Software
Hello Knights! I'm starting the process of sourcing a software suite for my organzation. We're solidly entrenched in 2000's era software, and much of my data mining involves Excel spreadsheets and paper reports.
The primary features I need are: ease of data entry for our front-line reporters and the ability to handle both safety and security events. Something that also has DOT tracking functions would be helpful. I have some experience with Gensuite, but looking for a simpler interface.
I'd appreciate your ideas!

Hi Matthew. EHS Momentum (my company) has a simple, affordable and comprehensive Safety Management System platform. www.ehsmomentum.com
Would love to show you a demo.

Hi there Matthew,
I am the Director of Customer Success & Development for iReportSource, an all-in-one Safety Management System. I'd love to speak with you about your needs and discuss how our software can address them. We encourage usage by all employees, but you just pay a simple subscription amount based on total company size, not per-employee. We have incident reporting (FROI with automatically populated OSHA forms, Property Damage, Auto Accident, 3rd Party Injury, Theft, complete with a workflow to help close out claims/investigations in a timely manner) and also Observations (See Something, Say Something, Behavior Observations) along with the ability to do your daily/weekly/monthly/annual inspections and audits. These can be entered on a computer, or you can use the mobile app if you're away from your desk.
All the data is captured in our customizable MyAnalytics feature which allows you to set up the reports you want to see, for any time range, on demand.
We also have features like task assignment & tracking to completion, safety training delivery & compliance tracking, and a safety procedures & SDS repository for mobile and web based documents to be shared across your organization.
I can be reached at jwilson@ireportsource.com or by phone at 513-399-6515. Hope to hear from you!

Gensuite, eh? Must have worked at GE....at least that what we used when I worked there.
As Michael stated, JJ Keller is most likely a good option. I haven't used it, but obviously they are brand name company that most likely has the resources available to create a good platform.
Here are some other options to consider, in the event you want to do a cost comparison:
- Team up with an independent IT/Programming Consultant. We use a local company that can make customized platforms that tailor your needs. Cost may be a little lower and you have personable customer service, but it may not be as flashy as the bigger companies. I use this for mobile inspections with an iPad.
-Not sure if they have DOT software, but I use BioRAFT for some chemical tracking. They also do some inspection type platforms.
-Encamp/Anvl may have some opportunities too. I am not familiar with their interface though.

Check with JJ Keller they have some of the best software available
