Concrete truck washdown
Environmental question: we’re putting down some concrete and one of the project reps asked me where to dump the wash down water. After they’re done pouring they will typically spray water in the bed to get rid of any residual. Do you guys think it’s fine to just dump on the ground/concrete pad or should it get drummed and profiled?

Thanks for the tips everyone. We’re going to wash it down in a controlled environment away from storm drains

The EPA guidelines answers your question very clearly and I would go with that guidance as stated...
We have always had washout temporary bays set up for the concrete mixers to wash out then once the water has evaporated we sent the harden concrete to a recycle facility.
Here's an EPA handout about concrete washout water. Please don't allow us to decide for you, however i believe this document supports the earlier member comment.

As long as it's dumped in a area away from ponds-waterways or sewers and stays on your property. I would say no worries. No need to add a cost with a profile then send out .
