Worst safety related fine you've ever had
Anyone here ever gotten fined by OSHA? What was the fine for, how much was it, and what was the aftermath?

No fines issued in my reighn however before me they had some huge ones.

Before my time our company was fined hundreds of thousands of dollars by OSHA and the EPA. The fines were preceded by a catastrophic release of oil which caused multiple employees to go to the hospital. My understanding that more than half of the fines were talked down, but it resulted in a massive shift in our workplace safety. Corporate got rid of a lot of middle management and opened up a few safety positions including mine.
