Safety Continuity
Hello,
My team recently completed an exercise around how COVID-19 has changed our work processes. The focus was to identify those things we're now doing differently and how we may leverage what we've learned to be more resilient in the future so we are effective.
Example
Situation- We have an on-site occupational health nurse (RN) and physical therapist. They weren't allowed to see employees in person for two months.
Behavior - Out of a need to sustain our occupational health program, we evaluated alternative means to see individuals leveraging technology. We discovered doxy.me, a tele-health application where you may complete virtual visits.
Outcome - Our employees adapted to the new occupational health model and our occupational health program results didn't decline. In fact, our visit count was very close to normal. In addition, conducting a tele-health visit is much easier with a licensed health care professional you already know and trust. We intend to use doxy.me going forward so we are more resilient.
Does anyone have additional examples we may learn from?
Michael

I think you identified a process and tool Michael, not necessarily a behavior. I am using P.O.D. exercises to practice dispersing PPE when we reintegrate.

Nice, sounds like a good initiative for your team. We've been trying to move a lot of our inspections to our network. It's really helped out with organization and making sure stuff actually gets done. Wish we did this sooner
