EHS Software
I wondered if you have any knowledge about EHS software. We are in the process of trying to implement SDS and Hazardous waste software and I am being put on the spot to justify the cost. (6800.00 a year). Any other software ideas

3E is good. HSI would work too. The justification is that you have to have an inventory of all your hazardous materials, with the ability to access safety data sheets. It has to be done.
Build the case for an electronic database. Having the SDS inventory is required, but you need to show why keeping paper in binders is an unmanageable task. How many items do you have? Do you need to service multiple locations? How many hours per year, including a review for updates every three years.
If you want really cheap - look up the app called EMS SDS GHS. The website is chemicalsafety.com. It's less than $300 a year. They take all your SDS and set you up initially which is nice. Then the app download is free and the employees scan a QR code to access the database.
It's a fine app, not the most user friendly but you get what you pay for. I guess it depends on how heavily your company relies on safety data sheets. My company barely ever uses hazardous chemicals so we just need the bare minimum
Sospes is what I used. They just added their SDS management aspect to their platform this past year and it’s worked well for me.
