Would it be a recordable injury if I’m injured while working from home?
For example: say I fell off my chair while sending an email from my work laptop. Assuming I had to go to the doctor to get some pain medication, would that be considered a recordable injury?

Here's an actual OSHA interpretation letter regarding such a thing:

The answer to your scenario, I believe is yes - it is recordable. Since it's related to the actual work, not the environment.

Now here's another question, and this would probably vary by state - but what about If it's covered under worker's compensation?
My question with this scenario, what control does the employer have on the condition of the interior and exterior of the employees home? This is a great scenario, with the Covid-19 pandemic ongoing, working from home has become more prevalent.

I truly think that it is hard to answer this at first glance. You would really have to gather detail as to what took place for the fall to occur to get a good idea. A thorough incident investigation with emphasis on great detail is truly needed to give an accurate answer here.
