Hype or help? Exoskeletons, wearables, and AI-powered ergonomics promise to transform warehouse safety but do they actually deliver? Join Jeremy Verrillo of CIP Solutions to learn more!
Exoskeletons, wearables, and AI-driven ergonomics platforms are grabbing headlines. They promise to “revolutionize safety” — because of course that’s what the glossy brochures say. But do they actually reduce injuries, or just shift the cost of hype onto your budget line? In this session, we’ll cut through the noise and show what these tools can and can’t do. We’ll explore why exoskeletons shine in certain jobs but flop in others, why AI is only useful when paired with real human judgment, and why old standbys like stretch-and-flex programs and generic lift training rarely deliver much on their own. The common thread: none of these approaches work in isolation. They only create value when integrated into a structured ergonomics process. You’ll leave with a clear framework for separating breakthroughs from band-aids and knowing when to invest, and when to politely walk away.
If you’re considering AI or exoskeletons, we’re offering a free Warehouse Risk Snapshot. We’ll review two of your jobs with our ERA process, apply analysis, and show you where the tech adds value and where it doesn’t. Spoiler: not every gadget or ritual earns its keep.
About Jeremy
Jeremy Verrillo is the co-founder and CEO of Comprehensive Injury Prevention Solutions (CIPS), a workforce health and safety firm specializing in practical, evidence-informed strategies to prevent musculoskeletal injuries. Drawing on a background in sports medicine, behavioral science, and systems-based safety, Jeremy built CIPS to bridge the gap between clinical best practices and real-world job demands. CIPS athletic trainers and ergonomics programs focus on what actually works: movement prep, risk-focused coaching, fatigue reduction, and clear, repeatable SOPs that frontline teams can trust. Jeremy is an unapologetic critic of one-size-fits-all training and believes smart ergonomics programs make a real dent in claims, downtime, and crew burnout.
