Floor Supervisors Role in Safety
It has become quite apparent that my floor supervisors were never given specific training on what the expectations are for how they should be involved in most aspects of safety.
Does anyone have a template to follow or some suggestions for big talking points to cover for a training on this topic?

I don't have a list, but I feel the most important thing you can teach supervisors is hazard recognition. It is especially helpful to have pictures or videos of your operations and have the supervisors identify hazards and the controls necessary to mitigate them.

A talking point for me is that they need to be the safety representative in their area. They need to enforce safety rules, coach, and discipline if someone isn't following safety rules that they have been trained on. I would train supervisors on these expectations annually.
I would recommend a minimum of an OSHA 10 Hour for floor supervisors, a classroom session on hazard recognition pertinent to your industry and Foundations of Safety Leadership. This is course I've taught and adapted a few times that will give supervisors, managers and even young EHS professionals the skills to manage safety with the classic's that actually work. I think it maybe what you are looking for; it's all free. A nice powerpoint, group exercises, the whole ten yards. See link below:
