We're Back
Despite some of your efforts they let me back in the country! In fact when we crossed the border it was the easiest crossing back into the USA I ever had:
Border Patrol when I handed him our passports: "Welcome home sirs! Where were you in Canada?"
Me (I had a friend and his 15-year old son in my truck): "We were at Vermillion Bay on Eagle Lake for a week."
BP: "Bring any fish back?"
Me: "A few but well under our limit."
BP: "Again, Welcome home and have a safe drive home!"
An we were off! No more than 10 minutes from the line in Port Francis, ON to the gas station in International Falls, MN, USA!
We had a wonderful time with my grandsons, their friends, fathers, and one other grandpa! Caught lots of fish but on the small size. Walleyes a couple at 26" one 25"(we put all three back in the lake), 16 slots (18"-23" and have to go back in the lake by law), and lots of >14"-12" for a couple big shore lunches. The "good-eaters" 14"-18" were very hard to find! Do not think we caught one! A few other small Pike and the trout.
One of my grandson's friends landed a 36" Lake Trout, the largest to date at the resort all season! I netted 36" thick Northern Pike for friend that we had to turn loose (can only keep to 27.5"). I casted a J-13 perch Rapala and had a >50" Muskie or Northern follow it to the the boat. We had a few second starring contest. I tried the "figure-8 thing" and he lost the staring contest and shot away!
A great trip, but I'm Back! It is good to be home!
Ps the Laker and a 26" & 20" Walleyes are pictured. The Walleyes are with my oldest and youngest grandsons. The Laker is with my grandson's best friend.

Nice! Looks like y'all had a great time!

Nice.
Last time I went to Canada, the Canadian Border agents were the only Canadians I ever met who were mean.
Coming back the US Border Patrol were very cordial.

Amazing pictures! Those are trips with your kids that they will never forget.
My dad and grandpa started going to Canada for fishing trips in the 70's, and we still go to this day. We go to lac la garde -

Here is the biggest Walleye I ever caught in my 20 years of going up there, and your sons caught bigger ones!
We always get more heat on re-entry to the US at the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit than when we're entering Canada.
