Local ASSP chapter VP roles - anyone with experience?
Good morning fellow knights,
Wondering if anyone has experience being an officer with their local ASSP chapter. Our local chapter is rather small and in desperate need of a revamp. I'm happy to help and thinking of joining in as the Vice President to get it rolling again.
Does anyone else have experience as an ASSP chapter office to share that might be helpful? Methods to encourage people to show up to meetings? Ways to make meetings more interesting/valuable?

I'd recommend reaching out to Brandle Zadoorian and/or Chris McGlynn (links to both of their LinkedIn profiles below). They have both been President of their local chapters and can probably give you some great advice!
I know Brandy is active on here, but Chris is not, so feel free to tell him I sent ya if you reach out to him.

I'm sure there are others on this platform, but those come to mind right away.

I'm an officer in my chapter, but it's hard to get volunteers who want to help run things. Happy to chat further.

My pal and "little brother" Jeff Bowers is the President of Northeastern Wisconsin Nicolet chapter of ASSP. He was their former VP. Had been after me to join ASSP but I am unsure as I will probably not become certified. Jeff also does some work with the "National ASSP" people.
Without his permission I will not give you his email address but his LI profile is here:

Tell him "Big Brother Fitz" told you to contact him!

Go to the ASSP member page and find the training for Chapter VP. I was a past VP and we require all officers to take the ASSP prescribed training for position. There you can also find a description of VP duties. I wish you success, and congratulations.
