How Many Disposable Ear Plugs Does Your Company Use Yearly?
I assume the answer is a lot. New ear plugs offered in the PPE market are made with up to 82% bio-based materials. After use, once they make it to the landfill, they have been tested to decompose by 76% in just 180 days in an aerobic environment. My question: is ear plug usage something that you consider to be a driving force towards your carbon footprint impact? If not, what are some other PPE products that can drive up annual waste due to high volume/usage?

How about customer made hearing protection, per employee. Pricy as last time I checked ten years ago the price was about $100 a pair.
They do tend to reduce the noise getting thru to the employee more than standard ear plugs!
I service 150/180 construction workers (iron) and I bet I burn thru 200/ month. 200 per box.
