I actually saw that and was like, how has this not been done yet?

Dang, there goes all the good heat properties of materials.
J/K, Kinda.
I agree with Drew, the benefits don't outweigh the negatives. Especially without proper knowledge, handling, and care of it.

I will never forget the 80s and 90 in the Auto business when the truth about asbestos started to become public knowledge!
In the early 90s I remember my company was being sold to other Tier 1 Auto Suppliers! Other companies were coming around doing "due diligence" on our plant. We made piston rings for engines in auto and heavy truck! One potential owner was the major brake manufacturer for the Big Three! Their CEO was talking to our Plant Staff to get a "feel for us!" He explained that his company was trying to spend every dollar it could while it could before they were forced to declare bankruptcy and all their assets would be frozen. His finance and legal people were telling him that would happen within six months as sure as the sun setting that night! This was (and still is) a many-billion dollar company).
Then he did something I always thought funny/odd! He told us a dirty but very funny joke! He then looked at us very sternly and said, "Make no mistake about it! I will not hesitate to fire the lot of you, if I feel it is even remotely necessary! But I will always do it with a smile on my face! Now get our of here!"
