We have quarterly internal professional development training for our team where each of our 5 team members present their own 1- to 2-hour topic, so, by the end of the year, we'll end up with 20 different training topics covered internally throughout the year, totaling 20-40 hours of professional development for each of us (on top of other outside trainings that we all complete).
Hands-on fire extinguisher training is always a fun one, so I'm sure your team will love that one!

When I was a Site OHS Manager I would build a Training Calendar every November for the up-coming year based on my Training Matrix built from my JSAs. I now urge my customers to do that today!
I use to try to mix it up some, but always tried to have Emergency Planning, except Fire in the Spring to prepare for weather emergencies. In northern Wisconsin that meant April (late) or May. Always with a weather (tornado) drill I would have Fire Training and Fire Extinguisher Training in September (as early as possible) with a Fire Evacuation Drill!
I had a January Evacuation Drill once many many years ago! It was 0 that day! I had 500 very unhappy people at me! Never did that again!
We usually tied in a Management Business Continuation Drill along with it. We had a Corporate Policy that we had to run drill to demonstrate we were ready to keep our OEM customers supplied and the business running in the event of a major operations disruption. We had to submit a detailed to report to Corporate Risk on what we problems found and how we were addressing them!
