RCRA/DOT Training
Good Morning Knights! (haha)
I'm in search of a RCRA/DOT class. We are VSQG/CESQG (in new york), and would really like to have an instructor led course, even if it's virtual.
We are having trouble finding an open-enrollment class as it seems that everyone wants to host a class just for the 3 of us, to the tune of $6k. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked with Lion Technology? Trinity Consultants? They have some good environmental training that I've attended in the past.
Are you looking for DOT HazMat training? Shipper training? Not sure what type of DOT training you're looking for, but RCRA (dealing with EPA) may need to be a separate course depending on what type of DOT training you're needing/wanting.

I'll add another vote for Lion Technology

Hey Alyssa - love to see you on here!

I may be late on this response but I’ll add a third vote for Lion and second Trinity.
To Drew’s point DOT is a standalone training. In RCRA they touch on DOT responsibilities, but it is only in passing. You couldn’t hang your hat on it. It is granular, depends on if your signing a manifest vs loading material, etc.
Hope you got it squared away!
Have you checked with your local Vo-tech? They often provide environmental and/or safety training. Ours is very inexpensive here in Oklahoma.

I agree with @Drew Hinton, back when this was my responsibility for a company I worked for, I took a 2 or 3-day class from Lion. It was a very good class and the instructor was someone who actually worked in the hazardous waste shipping sector. Plus it was a great way to escape the Wyoming winters for the fall warmth of Phoenix, Arizona!!!
