ISO training
What’s the best ISO 14001 and 45001 training out there I can get? I want the certification for lead auditor but unfortunately I can get that through companies that probably do a bad job and companies that probably do an awesome job and there’s probably some great training out there. That doesn’t give me a certification at all so I’m looking for my biggest bang for a book that results in a bullet point Certification From a company that’s gonna matter with quality training.

BSI group did offer these courses, but can't vouch for how good they are (or not).

I just looked there are several listed on "Google". You want online or seminars?
I have quite a bit of training and experience in ISO. At my last corporate employer we were certified for ISO 9001 (since 2000) and ISO 14000 , both mandated by customers, especially the big OEMs. ISO 18000 (then 45001) we were not certified but each location was mandated to be ISO 18001 "compliant". That meant for 18001 we did not spend the $250K per location (300 of them) to be certified and fly the flags., but had all the elements in place to be certified quickly if the cert became customer required.
I had extensive training in ISO 9001 implementation and auditing. I was sent to extensive seminars taught by ASQ, which is located 90 miles south of me (in Milwaukee). I was then charged with getting my location certified in 2001 with ISO 9001. That was a two year project working fulltime! In 2005 I assisted with 14001 cert which was easy after going through the 9001 gambit. Once you know the framework of 9001, the others are a snap. The terms are slightly different but the framework and process are the SAME! ISO is ISO! I was assigned from Operations to Quality for ISO (which was like "putting a fox in a henhouse" :) ) After we got 9001 Cert I was sent to HR (again) and assigned to H&S too. They wanted the fox out of the henhouse, then! :)I traded recruiting for the E.
This is just one of the reasons I believe EHS and Quality (QA and QC) are basically the same, especially in process. Really true in manufacturing and in a Lean environment! The terms and technology are different but that process is the same. I know some of you EHS diehards might have a problem with that but I will debate the fact for hours with you!
In any case if you are embarking on an ISO journey and you are 9001 Certified already, my new best friend would become the Quality Manager! Buy him or she a lot of coffee, they will be a huge help! Q people know this ISO stuff by heart!

There are a few companies that deliver good training including BSI, ASQ, and DNV. SAI should also be good, but I do not have personal experience with them.
When choosing a provider, it is important to know why you want the training. Lead Auditor training is typically geared towards consultants. Are you hoping to work for a registrar or as a consultant helping companies prepare for certification? If you're hoping to work for a registrar, I would take their training. If you're going to be a consultant, I would find a registrar or training provider that specializes in the niche you're looking at. If you do not go with a registrar, make sure they are a IRCA (or similar) accredited training provider.

I can tell you that BSI Group provides excellent training in ISO 14001 and 45001. I just took their Lead Auditor course and their instructor was wonderful. They do a lot of group discussions and projects throughout the course for hands-on practice with the standards.

I caution you to look at the trainer, not necessarily the company providing the training. I've had good and bad experiences with BSI. The good experiences were all because of the trainer - Rich Barish. If you ever get the opportunity to sit through his training, you will not be disappointed. I look for him whenever I need updated training. His website is https://www.barishconsulting.com/
