Silica
In a recent silica training, the instructor mentioned an online database where contractors can upload and share silica air monitoring data for tasks outside of Table 1. I can't seem to remember the name of this database. Wondering if anyone is familiar with this and if so, if you've had any luck using it.
Thanks!

I've never heard of this. If you find it, let us know because I'd be curious to take a look at it.
If you have to do air monitoring, it's "compliant" to use objective data, but the key thing is the data "must reflect workplace conditions closely resembling or with a higher exposure potential than the processes, types of material, control methods, work practices, and environmental conditions in the employer's current operations". With that being said, there's a lot of parameters within the data that you have to ensure is consistent and very closely resembles your exact operations. As a best practice, going to recommend using your own air monitoring data to ensure you're not using incorrect data and making your company potentially liable, or even worse, potentially exposing your workers to high levels of respirable crystalline silica.
