When I first started tried my business my intention was for it to be a HR Consulting Business. But I soon found the competition to be fierce in that line! There are millions of us retired Baby Boomer Personnel Managers around and most of us want consulting firms. I spent all kinds of money starting the business and on a professional website.
Well it was bad so I decided to reform my company. I did not want to spend all that money again, so this time I did it all myself starting from scratch, with little to no help. That included a website! So I started it all and the business took off! I had a website but it was performing poorly. I was so busy with customers I did not get a chance to refine it over the last three years.
Well I had to have major surgery in September and in part that and other reasons lost my customers. So I now have a lull in business. I have devoted the last month into refining my website and trying to maximize SEO and the like. Slowly but surely learning the front and back ends of Word Press and Blue Host in my site.
I would welcome any feedback you might have. I am far from done! One of the things I am doing to do to some training on my own, kind of starting it blind. Thanks for the assistance!
