Want me to ask this guy?

Me neither and I have been a "Safety Cop" from my first days as a Line-Foundry Supervisor in 1976!!!!!
Back then we were required to turn in 4-STOP (DuPont) BBS cards per week!!!! Yes BBS is NOT a new thing! One of the oldest concepts in EHS,OHS, or whatever you call it these days, in my opinion. The concept of an "unsafe-act" was the very first thing I learned on my first day of Management Trainee Orientation.
In any case, we foreman called them "Safety Tickets" behind our supervisors' backs in those days. In my opinion there in lies the problem with many BBS programs, if you do not keep them fresh and exciting they turn mundane! It seems more like you are a traffic/safety cop then a proactive manager when that happens!
Whenever I have a customer have an a steep rise in injuries I urge a BBS type approach, just like I have done myself several times in the past. But you want to develop something after about 6 months to plug in, as the BBS program will become stale, an mundane!
Yeah I sure deserve a badge too!
Your local police department will have badge stickers they give out to kids for free.
Usually its gold and shiny. That should suffice. . :):):)
