Vasovagal Syncope
Anyone had an employee who had vasovagal syncope? Any accommodations made for them?

Mainly, accommodations involve job transfer to a non-stressful job (since stress can easily cause the syncope), or to one in a seated position.
Always try to have them sit down, if possible, because long periods of standing can cause issues.

Wow. Drew is right on.
Hopefully the person is seeing a doctor. I had that happen to me, but I went into short periods of V-Fib. Stress may have been a factor but they said it was "idiopathic". They put a pace-maker in me, and had not had any problems since! That was in 2006. I have had an on-going problem with A-Fib but that is in control now too!
Drew is correct! I also would not allow them on or near any dangerous equipment or machinery! Once the employee is stable I would recommend a Job Hazard Analysis (sometimes called a Functional Capacity Test) of the person if they work in a manufacturing and/or hazardous environment. ADA can be fun!
