Daily safety talks
So I do (well not always me) but someone on the team has to get up in front of the entire job site and do a safety talk.
Sometimes I think I have an awesome talk in my head and get up in front of everyone… microphone in hand and I just can’t seem to formulate a coherent sentence.
Does anyone have a compilation of quick, to the point safety talks that I or anyone else could get up and preach to the masses?

There are lots and lots around to buy! Just have to do a search online (Google). There are some consultants I know that earn their living doing them and the sources go up in size from there. The "Big -Boys" like JJ Keller have them to purchase as well. Your insurance company and some state OSHAs (MiOSHA, MnOSHA, and so forth) many have some too.
I use to have prepare daily ones for the plant. I would prepare them a week at at time and have several weeks prepared in advance. I would put them out in a communal drive for the supervisors to access. I would tie them in with training and corporate edicts. Sometimes I would just share an overview of a major accident and what we learned from it! The supervisors were required to give them at the start of each shift while doing stretching and their daily cottage meetings. The first year or so was rough but then I just had a library and reused them, sometimes adding and updating them! I have a huge file now, but whom am I to cheat you out of leaning from all their preparation. :) I am a consultant so charge my customers good money for them now, as do others!
Is it worth it? If done correctly it may have TREMENDOUS results. But the organization can not make the practice mundane and boring, part of the job! Then they just become another thing to do! That is bad. But its a great thing to have people thinking "SAFE" at the GET-GO! The power if done correctly is awesome! Part of the way I got to "Zero-Injuries!"
