ASP/CSP Prep
For anyone that’s successfully obtained your ASP or CSP certification, what were your favorite studying resources? How long did you prepare for the exam prior to testing, and what was your studying schedule like?
I’ve already obtained my STS and am working towards the next step in the BCSP certification path. Thanks!

I found the Pocket Prep app most useful. Lots of questions (700+). The statistics let you know your weak areas so you can focus studying there. I used for both the ASP and CSP Exams.

I'm scheduled to take my test next week and have been using the ClickSafety CSP Exam Study Workbook (SPAN) along with the Pocket Prep app (special thanks to Michael for the recommendation!). In my experience, the ClickSafety (SPAN) workbook presents questions and answers in a manner similar to what I expect on the actual test. The Pocket Prep app is also valuable for pinpointing weak areas, just as Michael mentioned. However, the questions and answers in the Pocket Prep app are a bit more straightforward, requiring less critical thinking.
Both the ClickSafety (SPAN) workbook and the Pocket Prep app offer thorough explanations for their answers. If you opt for the ClickSafety (SPAN) approach, you can purchase the workbook for $275. The online preparation includes the exact same questions, answers, and explanations verbatim (waste of $125 in my opinion). As a trial, you can use the Pocket Prep app for free, which provides 30 questions. To access more questions, the premium version is available for $25 per month.
Don't pay the $100 for the practice exam (ASP) when booking your test day. it wasn't worth it, since taking it a second time didn't change any questions or answers. Honestly, I had the "Safety Professional's Reference & Study Guide" by Yates and it is 100% where they get all the questions from. Quizlet, people have made flash cards too. Also, a unique one! I was able to use ChatGPT to help quiz me!! I went in and typed "Can you help me study for the Associate Safety Professional Exam? Can you quiz me?" and it said "Certainly! I can provide you with a few sample questions to help you test your knowledge. Here are five questions related to safety management:" and gave me 5 multiple choice questions. I was able to ask for more, ask for questions related to specific topics, even asked "Can you ask questions that include OSHA regulation, ISO related regulations, and NFPA 33?" basically, I just kept asking for more questions and it gave me 5 at a time, told me what was wrong if I got it wrong. I will say I did have to correct one of the answers about fire extinguishers, but it was the only question, out of about 100, that wasn't correct. For free leading up to it there's also

I'm glad I came back to this post instead of asking the question again. I am finishing up my Masters in July and wanted to start prepping for the CSP exam.
