Who has a safety side hustle and what is it?
You guys probably know but I'm currently working on Level up Spanish - levelupspanish.com - to teach folks workplace level Spanish.
Who else has a side project they're working on? How do you balance it with your full time job?

I serve at Capitol Technology University (CTU) as a professor and dissertation chair, and also serve on the OSH Advisory Boards for CTU and Columbia Southern University. It's a balancing act, but ensure that I still putt my family and Arrow Safety first. Scheduling the college classes I'll teach each semester always comes last, but I still enjoy every minute of it.

I think I may have it backwards!
It seems to me that my main job is "Retired"!
My "Side-Hustle" is doing OHS Consulting! I cannot call it work, as my rule is I do NOT WORK for anyone anymore! Did that for 45 years, and done my time, and no more! If someone calls and wants me to "work" I am OUT!
Now I love to express myself, meeting people, talking to people, and communicating with people. If occasionally you want to pay me a little, who am I to turn your money down! I do not need it to live but buy my toys, and do not have to ask my BOSS (wife), although she is the CFO.
On reflection I do not like the word "hustle" as that denotes an amount of shadiness or deviousness. Now I am like Jack Reacher I just do the "Right Thing!" Part of working for a huge corporation I had to do things that may have been legal, but I would have been hard pressed to call "Right!" Part of not working anymore is not having to go there any longer either!
I tell the customer what they need to do legally and what they need to do to do the "Right Thing". I put it in writing and present it to them the best way I can. I even try to sell them on the "Right Thing!" If they choose to do it I will help them with all that is me! If they do not that is on them, and I walk away with no regrets!
I love to Train! I think I am very good at it!
