Restricted Duty - Yeah!
So I go up to the Doctor's Office in Green Bay for a "week-out post surgery visit" with Sally, otherwise known as the "Boss!" The PA comes in and says, "Doctor and I want to know if you are feeling better?"
I reply. "Still some pain but getting less and less!"
PA smiles and says, "Great! Let's go over your lab and pathology results."
Those were good news.
PA then says. "Are you following your 10-pound weight limit and what we mean by no excessive bending or twisting?"
I said, "Look Doc, I do not mean to be smart, but I have been looking at Doctor Slips on my employees for almost 48 years! I certainly know how to read them and enforce them. Yes, I have been a good boy."
On the way up Sally had noted we would be raking leaves soon. She did that to aggravate me, as she knows I hate to rake leaves!
Remembering that, I say in anticipation, "Doc does that mean I cannot rake leaves?" Sally glares at me!
PA responds immediately, "Well it certainly exempts you for he next four weeks at least!" I smile like I just won the jackpot!
Sally says, "You just made his day!" Looks at me and mumbles, "Assho___!"
PA gets up, looks me in the eye, puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "And Good Luck with that!" he laughs and leaves.
Having Surgery sometimes has its advantages! I sure hope it frosts quick so the leaves will fall quicker!
