Electrician Silica
I have an Electrician who must do drywall and concrete mixing and pouring in order to finish jobs. Scenarios are they put up lights then the drywallers come through and knock the lights off of where they should be. The electrician must go back through and move the light by cutting out the drywall moving the light and redoing the drywall. The same happens with concrete.
Also, there are attics and crawl spaces that need work done in them. I feel they need respirators but I am not sure.
According to 1926.1153 it looks like we would need to test according to 1926.1153(d)(1) & (d)(2). It seems like this is a routine task that many companies would do and data should be available is there an easier way to tell if they need respirators than sampling?

If you use objective data, then it would have to be the exact same task, same distance from silica source, same composition of material, etc., so a lot of variables are involved to make that accurate and compliant - otherwise, it would be comparing apples to oranges. Make sure you follow the minimum requirements found in Table 1.
