Advertising both CSP & ASP certs?
I took and passed my CSP exam yesterday (yay!), so now I technically have both CSP and ASP certifications until my ASP expires at the end of this year. What're yall's thoughts on advertising on LinkedIn or on my resume, etc. both my CSP and ASP titles at the same time? Or is that unnecessary and it makes more sense to just show CSP in my title?

In my opinion, there's no need to put the ASP on there if you have the CSP unless you absolutely want to. It's no different than listing a PhD and MS degree after your name when they are in the same discipline (e.g., PhD in safety and MS in safety).

After receiving my CSP, I didn't renew ASP. I see know need to pay twice.

yeah ASP, not needed

Doesn’t CSP imply you got your ASP? Im with everyone else - keep it short and sweet
I got my ASP to get my CSP. Added it to my ASSP profile. Then when I got my CSP, added that. But couldn't get ASP to "fall off." I completed my BCSP CEU worksheet for CSP renewal (trying to stay ahead of it), which then automatically triggered the renewal of BOTH my ASP and CSP.
So I agree. But it's sort of stuck. I think I just need to try harder to remove it from my ASSP profile, haha.

The only reason I would say to keep the ASP is if 1) you are one of those people who need to show off the letters for every professional certification test they have ever passed AND 2) your company is paying your annual dues to keep all the letters.

Congrats!
No Safety Certs for this Cat!
I was a PHR in HR from SHRM for many years through 4 recert processes.
Since I retired I decided to concentrate on OHS so I let the PHR lapse, but at 69 do not think I need a CSP for what I want to do. I have kept up my 503 (3 times) classes to remain an "Outreach Trainer".
I love to talk, you want to pay me good money to talk, who am I to turn your money down! Right Drew?!

Well, first of all, are you really going to keep both certifications? As in when your ASP dues come due, you're not going to pay them right? CSP is the higher certification and I would only advertise them.
