Battery storage
Hello,
Question about safety measures when storing batteries (small amounts used for some equipment) in storage rooms indoors in office buildings.
We have a couple batteries (Lithium Ion) and need to be stored away from sunlight and hot weather and we are asked to store indoors.
Just wondering what OSHA and NFPA has set to make sure indoor storage of such batteries is safe .. (temperature, type of fire extinguisher, protection system, … etc)
Thanks in advance.

When you say a couple, do you mean 2-3? Are these like regular power tool batteries or laptop batteries or something of similar size?
If so, I wouldn't worry about it too much. No one would worry about a few Dewalt batteries in a maintenance closet. See this NFPA tip sheet for more

Did you check to see what the manufacturer of the batteries suggests for storage? OSHA always recommends following manufacturers guidelines.
