Noise Engineering Controls
We recently conducted exposure monitoring in our plastic pellet grinding area and readings are around 130dB. We realize we need to implement some engineering controls to bring the sound level down.
I'm looking for ideas of industrial engineering controls you may have used and/or contacts/suppliers with ideas I could reach out to.

How far away from the source is the 130 dB reading?

Our snow guns operate at about this level of sound. There is no way we can shield them so we require our snow makers to wear foam ear protection under ear muffs. You might consider this until you can handle with engineering controls.

I’d echo Tim and bring in a hygienist, have them get eyes in it and make an official CIH recommendation
