I have some questions about residential roofing safety inspections:

When calculating the 6ft from the ground is that the leading edge or any spot on the roof? If you had a steep roof with a leading edge 5ft off the ground but the highest point at the top was 15ft from the ground does the 6ft fall protection stuff apply?

When trying to judge is a roof is more than 50ft wide are you looking at the smallest distance across? For example, if you have a house 75ft across 1 way and 35ft across the other. You use the 35ft foot, right?
