Standard Approach for Prescription Safety Glasses
Good Evening All,
How do you manage prescription safety glasses for your workers?

At previous employers, we always gave a $200 stipend every 2 years for prescription safety glasses.
Keep in mind that employers are required to pay for and provide prescription inserts for full face respirators.

We use Dival - who distributes HOYA. Works pretty well

We have an account with multiple eye doctors in the area. Employees can charge their prescription safety glasses to the company or bring in a receipt to be reimbursed.
We also have a collection of cheaters & readers for people to use if they are welders or in need of assistance reading drawings.

Like David, I’ve used Dival in the past. Have more recently used Zenni. I’ve also done reimbursement, but that’s more work in my opinion.
In any case, providing them is a small expense that really improves employee satisfaction.

We use a company called EyeWeb. Works pretty well.

I answered in my former "plant" manufacturing career. We did both the final two answers, employee choice. We could get the glasses much cheaper from AO, and had a $ limit of the last choice. I think it was $75 once a year. I answered the second but as I remember most employees chose the last option. So I should have answered that way, sorry!
We use Eyelation. They set up a kiosk that is simple to use. You can also use for other safety equipment as well.
