Floor scrubber
My facility has a floor scrubber, both the ride on and walk behind. Does anyone have or know where I can get training material for safe operations?

Here's some brief videos from Tennant Co.

They are not covered in OSHA 1910.178. However, in a past life we we treated them as if they were, per corporate policy. Our particular plant was a large Screw Machine Plant, having 75, 6-8 spindle machines running 1/8" to 4.5" stock. Most are now CNC, with a few NCs, and even a few others were old cam and gear machines (that go back to pre-WII). We also had >30 modern small to large CNC turning centers. The Screw Machines had solvent (oil) based coolants in them and the CNC TC are water-based coolants. Therefore, we fought a constant war on oily (slippery) floors. Back in the old days walking on those floors was worse than an ice rink. When we got serious constantly mop and vacuum floors, and purchased several floor scrubbers. when I retired we had two sit-downs and a dozen walk-behinds. Per corporate policy the sit downs were considered Class 1 PITs, and the walk-behinds were considered Class 3 (like a motorized pallet jack). So in our organization you had to be first a Class 1,3, or both Certified (by the Company) PIT Operator and have approved floor sweeper/scrubber training to operate the machines. some would consider over kill but never had an accident in my 23 years due to a floor scrubber.
Drew is right on the Tennant Training, they are the General Motors and Chevy of that business and have been for a very long time. We had them in 1976 when I started in the foundry.
