Used it to write justification for attending the ASSP Safety 23 Conference.
As a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a health and safety program manager, I believe that attending the ASSP Safety 2023 conference and expo would be a highly beneficial opportunity for my professional development. Not only will I learn about innovative safety solutions and network with industry professionals, but attending this conference will also help me obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) needed to maintain my certification.
I am particularly interested in attending the classes related to walking/working surfaces, electrical safety, and control of hazardous energy, as these topics are relevant to my role as a health and safety program manager. Some of the classes that caught my attention include " Walking-Working Surfaces and Pedestrian Safety: Improving Control of Slip, Trip and Fall Hazards," " Electrical Safety for the Safety Professional," and " What to Do When Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Is Not Feasible? Practical Advice for Applying ANSI/ASSP Z244.1 for Alternative Methods." I am confident that by attending these classes, I can gain new insights, knowledge, and skills that can be immediately applied to my workplace to improve safety performance, reduce risk, and maintain regulatory compliance.
