A Different Way To Look at It - OSHA's Top Ten!

I have always seen this list by the pure numbers, OSHA's Top Ten! This is a different way, by the dollar value of the citations, OSHA's Top Ten for 2022 GI.

1. Lockout/tagout; 1910.147
2. Machine guarding; 1910.212
3. Powered industrial trucks; 1910.178
4. Respiratory protection; 1910.134
5. Hazard communication; 1910.1200
6. Walking-working surfaces; 1910.22
7. General Duty Clause
8. Exit routes; 1910.37
9. Electrical general; 1910.303
10. Fall protection general industry; 1910.28

In my game these make total sense if you think about it. In my experience OSHA now gets called for Fatalities, Amputations, Hospital Stays, Loss of Eyes, and more than two injuries. If you are in NACIS Codes 31-33 you are most likely to call for an amputation. The instant my customers mention "amputation" OSHA first focuses on Lockout and second Machine Guarding, usually 1910.212(a).

#7 Is interesting and I would like to know more about.

Construction's List is somewhere else on JJ Keller. I no longer have access. Anyone else?
