I Think I Know, But What IS.........?
I got my daily "OSHA Reminder". I know about the first part of the message but never heard of a "tug test?" Is that just where the semi-driver tests or tugs the trailer to ensure the trailer is secure?
In all these years never recall hearing that term.

A tug test is used to ensure the trailer is properly secured to the tractor after connecting the 5th wheel. I have seen big rigs leave the yard and lose the trailer when accelerating to get on the freeway. Video revealed the driver did not perform a tug test prior to leaving.
