Question
Wondering if anyone has experience with employees who hold permit to carry license and taking that with in company vehicles?
Thank you.

Depends on your state. Many states have a "parking lot" law that allows people to have guns in personal vehicles in the company parking lot. However, when it comes to company vehicles, then as long as it's not a take-home vehicle, then you can make whatever rules you want.

I was one of the first to get a CCP permit in WI. We were one of the last states to allow CCPs 10-12 years ago. It was a huge deal here then, and very political. I was a HR Manager and we got Corporate Legal Advice on our weapons policy. In WI property owners may prohibit firearms on their property by posting visible signs on entrances and doors.
Corporate said, "No Guns on our Property!" So we wrote a policy for our employees. I could have a gun in my vehicle, but the company required that I keep my vehicle locked at all times if there was gun in the vehicle and I was not in it. If you did not have a WI CCP permit you could NOT have a firearm on company property at anytime or anywhere. Deer hunting and the GP Packers are a religion here! We warned all hunters that they could not have any firearm in their vehicle, and to be careful if they were headed up North to Deer Camp directly after work!
PS Even with a CCP I could only have a handgun concealed in my vehicle (locked). I could not have a "long" gun in my vehicle like everyone else!
Drew is correct it really depends on your state and Corporate or Company Policy! My advice is to have a written policy that conforms with all the stuff in the previous sentence, and then train your employees accordingly!

Thank you for the information! How about flare guns?

Here at our plant, you can only carry outside our perimeter so I guess it would be ok in company cars outside of perimeter.
