General Industry or Construction OSHA Standards?
We have a field services group that installs and services new equipment on our customer sites. In your opinion, should the corporate policies for the field services team be compliant with general industry or construction OSHA standards?

What kind of new equipment? Is it for upgrades or direct replacement? That can be the deciding factor in maintenance versus construction.

It is usually based on what the client goes by. If you are at a refractory and they go by General Industry Standards, then the contractor has to go by their standard. Most of the time, it is a mix. However, when it comes to working at heights, it better be by General Industry Standards.
