Favorite PPE supplier thread
Figured I’d open up a thread to shoutout your go-to PPE supplier. Let us know who you love using and what makes them great.
I’m a big fan of Dival - they have a great presence in Western NY, and all their sales people are well educated on the OSHA regs and don’t use high pressure sales. Check ‘em out!

Stauffer - Charlotte
Amy has been wonderful for me here in the Carolina's. She is extremely knowledgeable with standards and getting products at a reduced coast! I have put in vending machines from them, almost everywhere that I have gone. They are national too.

Back in the Corporate game I used Conney Safety Supply in Madison, WI for specialty PPE and first aid supplies. I am up near Green Bay. They were always very helpful and seemed to know their stuff. They are not the cheapest but if I made an order before 4:00 PM I had it before noon the next day! For volume PPE like ear plugs, gloves, and plano eye wear we ordered from our fastener and tooling supplier who mad money on that stuff so sold us PPE at almost their cost! We were a large machine shop. Conney was great and would give me recommendations on ear plugs, and would quote me, and when I told them what my tooling company quoted would said, "Well I would order from them too!" The company we were supposed to use by Corporate was Cintas our "National Vender" for First Aid and PPE (as well as uniforms and shop rags).
One day the Corporate EHS VP called little lone me. He says, "Hey Fitz, who do you order PPE from?" So I told him and why. He says, "Per corporate policy I cannot make you buy anything, but you know who the National Vendor is correct?" I said, "Yup I know but per Corporate policy I have good logic so I would like to stay the way I am (I told him the logic)" He goes, "For your volume stuff awesome job, but for your first aid supplies let me inform you a few things. The CEO of Cintas is on the Parker (our) Board of Trustees. The CEO of Cintas is Don's (our CEO) best friend, they play gold together twice a week at the Country Club here in Cleveland (OH). So I am going to ask you one more time, who do you order your first aid supplies?" I thought a minute and said, "I think I just switched to Cintas!" He laughed and said, "Good Man!" and hung up!

It all depends on what type of PPE I'm needing, but if it's anything to do with eye protection, HexArmor is always my go-to. If I'm needing cut-resistant or puncture-resistant gloves, I go to MCR Safety. I've had to get a few pairs of needlestick gloves and HexArmor is the only one that makes them. I get all of our medical PPE from MCR Medical. Fall protection is from Malta Dynamics (Malta, OH). Anything chemical related is either from AllSafe Industries (Louisville, KY) or Drager. Other than that, I order a lot of odds and ends stuff from Zoro.
Mine was Five Star Safety in Bartlet IL. The best dude in the business was Drew. Unfortunately he just died back in October of a brain aneurysm. Tragic really. 45 years old… wife and kids and like I said… all around amazing guy. It’s a family business so any business is still supporting his family. I really do miss that guy.

My go to is Olsen Safety Equipment in Waukesha, WI (maybe a little bias since I work there lol) But, we have a wide warehouse with competitive pricing, & offer volume pricing too! If there is an item that we don't typically stock, we have no issue bringing it in for our customers or even drop-shipping product direct to our customers.
