Being in a culture that had a saying of "100 Years of Tradition, Unimpeded by Progress", I see how the importance of this process is to improving our workplaces. Applying principles and practices to each one of those areas in the loops.

I love how you're up front about it being challenging to make the change. I'm all about the realism. But then you also have the solution. Great job!

All good stuff Fitz but unless safety is embraced as a value things do not change. All of the cultural principles can be addressed and manipulated and we will see some shift. It can’t and won’t last unless safety is a core value. I make it no secret that I am opposed to “safety culture”. I don’t believe we should be segregating safety and I believe we do so when we identify it as a culture. Safety doesn’t stand alone. Safety needs quality and integrity and diversity and sustainability to be effective. The overall work atmosphere (culture) must be embraced as a whole and not as isolated individual subcultures. IMHO.
